Two-time Emmy-nominated narrator on the CW's Jane the Virgin and voice of several networks' on-air promos, including HBO, Showtime, and Spike.

Anthony Mendez is a voice actor with an impressive list of credits to his career, including on-air promos, movie trailers, and TV commercials in both English and Spanish. His break-through role came as the “Latin Lover Narrator” on Jane the Virgin which earned him two, consecutive primetime Emmy nominations in 2015 and 2016 for “Outstanding Narrator.” Anthony has been heard on promos for several networks including NBC, MTV (and MTV tr3s,) Spike, Comedy Central, Showtime, and CNN. He’s also the voice of HBO’s weekly Sports Minute. His first major on-air promo campaign was for CNN’s Latino in America, of which one of the promos won several 2010 PromaxBDA Awards and was nominated for a 2010 News and Documentary Emmy in the category of “Outstanding Promotional Announcement – Episodic.” He can be heard on movie trailers for major and independent studios alike, including Fox Searchlight, Warner Bros, IFC Films, and, most recently, the Hispanic TV campaign for Universal Pictures’ Ride Along 2 which opened at number one at the box office, dethroning Star Wars: The Force Awakens from the top spot. He’s narrated national network and regional campaigns for Wieden+Kennedy, Energy BBDO, Leo Burnett, and Kaplan Thaler.
