In 2015 I set up Clio Media, a news and picture agency, with parenting author and feature writer, Tanith Carey. Previous to that from 2010-2015 I was the executive news editor and then foreign editor at the Daily Mail. Before joining the Mail I worked on the opposite side of the political spectrum at the Daily Mirror, where I was US Editor, based in New York, covering the Bush-Kerry election. In 2005 I returned to London as news editor, when the paper won 'Team of the Year' at the British Press Awards for its coverage of the 7/7 attacks. Later, as Head of News, I ran The Mirror's General Election Desk at the 2010 poll. I have a masters degree at Edinburgh University where I read Politics and Modern History, specialising in American Studies.
