Anuradha K. Herath
Anuradha K. Herath served as the former Director (International/Digital Media) at the Sri Lanka President’s Office and the Sri Lankan Government Spokesperson for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2013. Prior to that, she was the director of the Sri Lanka College of Journalism (SLCJ). Before returning to Sri Lanka, she served as the communications fellow for the U.S.-Muslim Engagement Project of the Search for Common Ground-USA organization in Washington, D.C.
Prior to working in government, Anuradha was a journalist with more than 15 years of collective experience in print, broadcast and online media in Sri Lanka and the United States. Her work has appeared on CNN International, the Los Angeles Times, NASA's Astrobiology Magazine and other Sri Lankan and U.S. publications.
Anuradha has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and master’s degree in communication from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and a master’s in journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York City.
