A board-certified physician in internal medicine, Dr. Salerno earned her M.D. degree from Harvard Medical School in 1985 and a Master of Science degree in Health Policy from the Harvard School of Public Health in 1976. She has held many leadership positions in the public health space, including roles in both the government and non-profit sectors. She lives in Dallas, has three children and is an avid baseball fan.
