Ariel Foxman

Ariel Foxman is the editor of Time Inc.’s InStyle, the world’s most successful luxury fashion magazine. He oversees the core magazine, its 17 international editions, and brand extensions including InStyle.com, InStyle Hair, InStyle Beauty, apparel, digital mobile applications, and books. Foxman was named to the post in September 2008, at age 34, becoming InStyle’s first male editor. Previously, Foxman served as founding editor of Conde Nast’s Cargo, the men’s shopping magazine.

On television, Foxman was a permanent judge on Lifetime’s Project Accessory (2011), the first spinoff of Project Runway. He has also appeared on Bravo’s The Rachel Zoe Project (2013) and It’s a Brad, Brad World (2012). He was the first editor to appear on CW’s Gossip Girl (2008). In 2013, Foxman was named to Crain’s “40 Under 40,” and in 2012 and 2011 he was featured on Out’s annual “PowerList.” In 2009, he was named one of Forbes’s most powerful fashion magazine editors, and one of The Advocate’s “Forty Under 40.” Foxman serves on the boards of the American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME), Fashion Group International (FGI), and the AIDS Community Research Initiative of America (ACRIA). He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College with a B.A. in English and American Literature and The Comparative Study of Religion.
