Fellow, Study of the US Institute on Women's Leadership, Half the Sky Campus Ambassador

Currently an undergraduate Sociology student at Lady Shri Ram College for Women in New Delhi, Arpita is passionate to make a difference- by learning, exploring and interacting with young girls and women across the Globe.
She hopes to extend every opportunity to other girls that she has been privileged to receive, in order to help them reach their potential. She is the Coordinator of the Women’s Development Cell in her Campus, a Half the Sky Movement campus ambassador, and looks forward to initiating a Project on Women Empowerment in association with CARE India and Half the Sky Movement.

Arpita has been honored to represent India at the Study of the US Institute on Women's Leadership, in association with the University of Kansas and the US Department of State. An ardent advocate of women and child rights, she aspires to be a Criminologist seeking juvenile justice internationally. She draws her inspiration from Daw Aung San Suu Kyi- an alumni of her own college, and works of Khaled Hosseini.
