Arthur Allen is a writer and journalist based in Washington DC, author of the recently published Vaccine: the Controversial Story of Medicine's Greatest Lifesaver (WW Norton). Allen graduated in Development Studies at UC-Berkeley and was a foreign correspondent in El Salvador, Mexico, France and Germany before returning to the U.S. in 1995 and rekindling his undergraduate interest in biology by becoming a science writer.
