Musician, teacher, writer, and founder of Breathe Bravely

Ashley Ballou-Bonnema, a 30-year-old musician, teacher, writer, wife, and seeker of adventure strives to get the most out of a life living with cystic fibrosis. She is the founder of Breathe Bravely, a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving voice to cystic fibrosis and the author of the popular blog, Breathe Bravely. She is a passionate advocate for the cystic fibrosis community and serves as one of the 12 members of the Adult Advisory Council for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Ashley holds a B.A. in vocal music and French and a M.M. in vocal performance. Today she works as a professional musician – maintaining a private studio of 25 voice students all while serving as the executive director and founder of the nonprofit organization, Breathe Bravely.
