Ayesha Khanna

President, Civic Incubator

Ayesha Khanna is the president of the Civic Incubator, which puts people at the center of change by supporting and launching social entrepreneurs and early stage civic ventures around the world through programs such as the Civic Accelerator, Ventures in Residence and Global Service. The Civic Incubator is a division of Points of Light – the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service – engaging and mobilizing more than 4 million volunteers in 30 million hours of service each year.



Ms. Khanna has a record of success in leading nonprofit, for-profit and political organizations. She is a co-founder and a director of Fuse Corps, a nonprofit venture that matches experienced leaders with mayors and governors to drive innovation as part of a12-month fellowship. She has launched and co-led Atlanta Women for Obama in 2008 and served as the finance director for candidate Lisa Borders in the 2010 Atlanta mayoral election. Ms. Khanna was the chief operating officer of United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta with oversight of a $109 million budget and 240 staff across 13 counties, and as the CEO of the YWCA of Greater Atlanta successfully transformed the 100 year-old organization. She began her career as a senior manager in strategic services at Andersen Consulting LLP (now Accenture) working in industries ranging from technology to consumer products.



Ms. Khanna is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta and Leadership Georgia. She was named a 1999 Outstanding Atlantan and the 2002 Atlanta Business to Business Diva. Ayesha has served on various community organization boards and currently serves on the Fort McPherson Local Redevelopment Authority, The White House Project in Georgia and the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation. She is enjoying her 17th year residing with her husband David Edwards and their daughter in the Inman Park neighborhood in Atlanta.
