Babs “Roaming Buffalo” Bagwell, is senior public relations and media liaison for her Tribe, The Isle de Jean Charles Band of Biloxi-Chitimacha-Choctaw Indians located in Coastal Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. A mother, grandmother, and advocate for the health of mother Earth and her people, she actively and passionately pursues bringing awareness of the consequences of climate change not only experienced by her Tribe but other Tribes within her home state of Louisiana with whom she works. A lover of nature, photography and writing, she often uses those skills to tell the story of her Tribe’s reality, a reality of living up close and personal with climate change.
