Barbara C. Unell

Barbara C. Unell, a mother, social entrepreneur, journalist and parent educator for the past 30 years, is the author of more than a dozen parenting and health-related books, including the new book, Discipline with Love and Limits. She is passionate about bringing together educators, community leaders, and parents through such ventures as "Kindness Is Contagious...Catch It", a school-based education project, and the "Uncle Dan's Report Card" program in school districts in Kansas. She has also appeared on hundreds of local and national media, including Oprah, NBC Nightly News, Good Morning America, Today, NPR, USA Today, Parents, and the New York Times. She is the co-founder of the Brenner Family Education Center, dedicated to teaching, supporting and inspiring evidence-based parenting skill-building that lowers the risk of adverse childhood experiences.
