Dr. Rimer was appointed by President Obama to chair the President’s Cancer Panel in 2011. She is Dean of the Gillings School of Global Public Health and Alumni Distinguished Professor of Health Behavior at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Rimer's work in the cancer field has guided national research, practice, and policy for more than 30 years.
