Barbara L. Shaw

Barbara L. Shaw is an Assistant Professor of Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies at Allegheny College and earned her Ph.D. in American Studies with a Graduate Certificate in Women's Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is writing a manuscript analyzing sexual violence and grassroots movements in the postcolonial Caribbean and collaborates with colleagues nationally to integrate analyses of gender, race, sexuality, social class, ethnicity, abilities, and nationalities into college curricula.
