Barbara Yasui

I am a retired educator who does racial equity training and community organizing.

I am a third generation Japanese American who lives in Seattle, WA. My background is in early childhood and multicultural education. I have a B.A. from Stanford University and an M.Ed. from the University of Washington. Since my retirement as a community college program administrator, I have worked as a consultant for Everyday Democracy, an organization that helps communities organize dialogues on a variety of subjects; a Senior Trainer for the REACH Center for Multicultural Education; and a volunteer for Densho, the Japanese American Legacy Project.
