Barry Sussman

Barry Sussman, a longtime editor and political observer, was the Washington Post's Watergate editor.

Barry Sussman was a Washington Post editor for 22 years, serving as city editor, special Watergate editor, and co-founder of the Washington Post/ABC News opinion poll. From 2003 to 2012 he was editor of Nieman Watchdog, a website of the Nieman Foundation at Harvard that encouraged investigative reporting. He is the author of three books. The first, "The Great Coverup: Nixon and the Scandal of Watergate," now in its fourth edition, was named one of the best books of the year in 1974 by the New York Times.
