British polar explorer
Ben Saunders is a polar explorer and a record-breaking long-distance skier, with six North Pole expeditions under his belt. He is the youngest to ski solo to the North Pole and holds the record for the longest solo Arctic journey by a Briton.
Ben is currently setting out on one of the most ambitious polar expeditions in a century. The Scott Expedition. A 1800 mile, four month return journey from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole and back retracing Captain Scott's Terrra Nova route. It will be the first completion of Captain Scott's ill-fated Terra Nova expedition.
Followers can look forward to enjoying Ben's journey online in unprecedented detail as he will be blogging daily from his tent in one of the most inhospitable and inaccessible places on earth.
