Currently a content strategist, Ben was at Al Jazeera for over 5 years, including several years at AJAM in New York City and also in Doha at AJE during the height of the Arab Spring. Previously, Ben Piven worked at PBS Worldfocus. He holds a master's degree in digital media from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. In 2007 he studied India's caste system as a Fulbright scholar at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
