Bernard Meyerson, PhD

Vice President of Innovation, IBM

Dr. Bernard Meyerson is IBM's Vice President for Innovation and leads IBM’s Global University Relations Function. He is also responsible for the IBM Academy, a self-governed organization of more than 1,000 technical executives and senior technical leaders from across IBM.
In 1992, Dr. Meyerson was designated an IBM Fellow, the company's highest technical honor, for his work in the development of silicon germanium (SiGe) technology The reliability, speed and low cost of SiGe enabled rapid growth of various wired and wireless networks, shrinking the size and power needs of WiFi, cellular phones, GPS systems and many other products. He holds a Ph.D in Physics from City College of New York.
