Beverly McLeod Iseghohi, JD, is Managing Principal of BMI & Associates, a Public Affairs firm with offices in Atlanta, Georgia and Washington, DC. BMI’s affiliate office is located in Cape Town, South Africa. Dr. Raymond Dokpesi, Board Chairman of Nigerian African Independent Television (“AIT”) has called Ms. Iseghohi “the Expat Survival Guru for CEOs and elected officials embarking on overseas assignments and delegations, respectively.” For more than twenty years, Ms. Iseghohi has provided – in the United States and in sub-Sahara Africa - expertise on development policies and strategic global partnerships which improve the environmental and social efficacy of infrastructure, cities and communities. To that end, Ms. Iseghohi’s published articles and essays convey her passion to build equitable, inclusive and safe communities.. Early in her career, Ms. Iseghohi served as an advisor to geoscientists in Nigeria’s petro-chemical industry where multi-disciplinary project teams – including scientists from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation - were tasked with commercializing government research and development products. Upon returning to the United States, Ms. Iseghohi served as Commissioner of International Trade for the City of Oakland, California. She then went on to provide public and private sector institutions with subject matter expertise on trade practices in Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa. Ms. Iseghohi currently has ownership interest in and Board of Directors/Managers’ responsibilities for: ReNew Solar, a Charlotte-based renewable energy developer; Nishan Sunshine, a South African supplier of chemicals for the oil and gas industries; and, Nishan Industries, a Nigerian producer of chemicals for the oil and gas industries. Ms. Iseghohi’s educational credentials include a Juris Doctor degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
