Blair Miller

Impact investor in emerging markets and fervent believer in developing psychological courage.

Blair Miller is currently building a socially oriented investment fund for mainstream institutional investors and family offices. Previously she was the Vice President of the MDG Health Alliance, a global coalition of leading businessmen focused on using private sector approaches to address global health challenges. During this time she supported the development of two multi-million dollar funds with philanthropists in India and Nigeria as well as one of largest social bonds for malaria in Nigeria.

Blair spent five years at Acumen Fund, a $100M impact investment fund that invests in enterprises that serve the poor in India, Pakistan, West and East Africa, and Latin America. At Acumen she created and ran the Acumen leadership initiatives including the Global Fellows Program, the Regional Fellows Programs, and developed the curriculum for the online platform.

Blair is most passionate about developing human capital and, as such, is an advisor to Andela, a company training a cadre of coders across Africa and a venture partners at Learn Capital . Blair is a trustee of the Africa Center, on the Executive Board of Venture for America, the Alumni Board of the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, and is a term member at the Council on Foreign Relations. She holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BA in English Literature from the University of Virginia where she was a varsity volleyball player.
