Bob Aiken

CEO, Feeding America

Bob Aiken serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief organization and fourth largest charity according to Forbes. Through a network of more than 200 food banks and 61,000 local food pantries, kitchens and emergency shelters, Feeding America provides more than 3 billion pounds of food and grocery items to 37 million people each year.



Aiken joins Feeding America after a lengthy career in the food industry. Previously, Aiken worked in the private equity industry with a focus on specialty and natural food companies. Prior to that, he served as the President and CEO of US Foods, a leading foodservice distributor in the United States with over $18 billion in revenue and nearly 25,000 employees.



Currently, Aiken serves on the Boards of Directors of Red Robin Gourmet Burgers which operates more than 450 casual dining restaurants, and United Stationers, a leading business products distributor.



Earlier in his career, Aiken held several positions at Specialty Foods Corp., of Deerfield, IL including CEO of its Metz Baking Company subsidiary, a DSD distributor of fresh baked goods to the grocery industry with revenues of $650 million and 6,000 employees. He began his career as a business lawyer, first with the firm Sidley & Austin in Chicago and then Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, CA.



Aiken holds accounting and law degrees from Georgetown University, Washington D.C.



Aiken is married with two children. He and his family reside in Wilmette, IL.
