Brett was named after her mother's favorite Ernest Hemingway character, Lady Brett Ashley from The Sun Also Rises. Brett graduated with honors from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She has taken many food and wine courses, but believes you can learn almost everything about both through tasting.
