Brittany Wenger

Student at Duke University, aspiring pediatric oncologist

Brittany Wenger is a 19-year-old student at Duke University and aspiring pediatric oncologist. When she was 15, her cousin was diagnosed with breast cancer and Brittany saw firsthand the impact a diagnosis can have on a woman and her family. As a result, she designed a program that teaches the cloud how to diagnose breast cancer by using artificial intelligence to read and interpret data about cancer cells collected through fine needle aspiration. Through a series of 7.6 million trials, Brittany’s program was proven to diagnose with 99% accuracy and is now in beta use at two hospitals.
