Clinical neuropsychologist, author of The MindBody Code, The MindBody Self, and founder of biocognitive science.
My theory and practice of biocognitive science offers a missing component of mindbody communication. We know that mind influences the body, but what influences the mind? Better yet, what influences the mindbody. My proposal is that cultural perception influences mindbody processes. Beliefs and their corresponding effects on our mindbody are learned in cultural contexts. I argue that longevity is learned and the causes of health are inherited.
