After completing a master of science in education at Bank Street Graduate School of Education Ms. Café McMullen spent several years teaching in New York City and Los Angeles. In 2009 she continued her work in education at Inner City Education Foundation Public Schools in the Performing Arts Department, where Fernando Pullum was the director of the program. In the summer of 2011, Fernando and Café opened the Fernando Pullum Community Arts Center in South Central Los Angeles. The Center offers free preforming arts classes as an after school program for over three hundred children of all ages. Cafe worked as an education consultant at Playful Bee, an on line early education website, as well as various projects integrating education and wellness.
