Cara Tompot

Social Media Addict, LGBTQ+ Advocate, Feminist, Cancer Activist

Cara wants to live in a world where survivors don't feel alone in their battles and books come bundled with a milk chocolate bar on top. Cancer has always hit close to home for Cara. As a childhood cancer survivor, she knows life as a survivor, and as the daughter of a 24-year breast cancer survivor, she knows life as a caregiver. Currently, she spends her days connecting mesothelioma survivors, caregivers and loved ones with the resources they so desperately need at The Mesothelioma Center. Her previous roles include writing for the Lung Institute, the Walt Disney Company and Hiram College. When she’s not scribbling up a storm, she can be found re-reading Simone de Beauvoir and binge-watching obscene amounts of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."
