Carissa K

Mother and writer,

Carissa is a happy, grateful, sometimes funny and often times tired mother of four (three living) shuttling a minivan around the Chicago area suburbs and clinging to just enough irreverence to stay sane.

She writes regularly at . In addition to The Huffington Post, her work has also been featured on , Scary Mommy, Literary Mama, Erma Bombeck Writers' Workshop, Today Parenting Team, FARE (Food Allergy Research and Education), Allergy Kids Foundation and is a part of the book "Three Minus One" by She Writes Press and associated with the film, Return to Zero.

She feels strongly about family and travel, food allergies, perinatal loss, and trying to be mindful of the moments she is given with her husband and darling young maniacs/children. Thanks for reading!

You can see more from Carissa on Tumblr, , Facebook at , Twitter @CarissaK or Instagram, .
