Higher education economist

Carlo Salerno is a Los Angeles-area education economist specializing in program and policy evaluation. Over the past 15 years he has worked for the federal government and national advocacy organizations doing legislative and regulatory analysis of higher education economics issues, in the student loan industry helping schools manage their cohort default rates, and as a two-time entrepreneur, helping build first-to-market solutions to help students and families help finance a college education. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Eastern Michigan University ('97), and a PhD in higher education from the Pennsylvania State University ('02).
