Carlos Macías is a professional bilingual journalist, public relations strategist and social media forecaster with experience on business, urban, social, philanthropic and foreign affairs. He also has a robust editorial background on social media strategy, multicultural marketing, Hispanic business journalism, consumer advocacy, domestic and foreign policy. He received a BA on business journalism and history from Baruch College – CUNY.

His writings have been published on AS/COA Online, Americas Quarterly magazine, Latino Politics Blog, Being Latino Online Magazine, City Limits and ConsumerReports.org.

Carlos also serves as the president of PorColombia, a nonprofit organization that focuses on leadership, corporate transparency and networking. His tenure at the organization started with his appointment as the national editor-in-chief in 2009. In June 2011, he was elected the national president.
