President, Cosmetic Executive Women, Inc. (CEW)

Carlotta Jacobson is a leader in the beauty industry. A respected administrator, editor, and consultant, she has held a series of key positions, including beauty editor of Harper’s Bazaar, and her current role as president of the industry’s leading association, Cosmetic Executive Women.

Cosmetic Executive Women, Inc. (CEW) is a nonprofit association of over 5,000 female and male executives in the beauty, cosmetics, fragrance, and related industries. Its mission is to advance the professional growth and leadership development of women in the cosmetic industry.

During her tenure at CEW, Carlotta Jacobson has led the organization through tremendous growth--with under 800 members, to over 5,000 members, creating unique programming, industry awards and developing a prestigious board of governors--establishing CEW as the preeminent organization it is today.

A dedicated supporter of philanthropic activities, Ms. Jacobson is also president of the CEW Foundation, the philanthropic arm of CEW, founded in 1993. She founded the foundation’s first independent initiative, Cancer and Careers, a resource for working women with cancer.

Ms. Jacobson was honored by the American Cancer Society for her commitment to supporting working women with cancer.

In 2012, she received two awards – the CEW UK Achiever Awards 2012 Special Industry Award and Traditional Home Classic Woman Awards 2012 Editor & Publisher Award.

She has served as chairwoman of Women In Need (WIN), a nonprofit charitable organization that provides housing and other vital services to homeless women and their children in NYC.
