Founder and President of The Foundation Aiding The Elderly

Carole Herman is the Founder and President of the Foundation Aiding The Elderly (FATE), a California non-profit corporation that provides information, counseling, advice, resources and referrals as a public service at no charge to those needing assistance in dealing with care of the elderly. She has been the voice for patients and their families and works to bring about national reforms and enforcement of the laws governing the nursing home industry and its regulatory agencies to insure proper care for our most vulnerable citizens. She has dedicated 30 years of advocacy for the elderly since the untimely death of her aunt in a California nursing home in 1982. Ms. Herman was previously a pioneer and executive in the software industry and was the Co-Founder/Vice President of Software Module Marketing, which became Sterling Software after a public offering. She was also the Co-Founder and Vice President of Banner Software.
