Student, Macalester College

I am a senior at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. I'm majoring in Sociology, minoring in Religious Studies, and fulfilling a concentration in Critical Theory. I was raised Catholic and have continued to practice my faith through college. I consider myself to be, at times, a doubter from within -- I have chosen to not leave my faith and church when I do have valid questions about it; rather, I explore my questions from within my faith, while doing my best to maintain a critical eye. My faith pushes me to constantly strive to be a better person, for the good of the world and those around me. It motivates me to be loving, kind, and joyful, to pursue truth, to be savagely sincere, and a rebel for love. Yes I think Pope Francis is awesome. Apart from my faith I enjoy being active and outdoors - I play soccer and frisbee, I like trees, I run, I'm interested in agriculture and growing food, I love to bike in the Twin Cities - it's the best. Although, I hail from Ann Arbor, Michigan - Go Blue!! And I love doggies. Pretty agreeable human, I'd say, for better or worse. And no, I do not know what I'm doing after I graduate.
