With a sword swallower as a father and a fundamentalist chanteuse for a mother, is it any wonder Carolyn became a writer? Carolyn is a travel journalist, photographer and author of fiction. Her short fiction has appeared in a variety of online literary journals. Her short story, "Sketches Past and Present," was featured in the anthology Best New Writing 2013. Her nonfiction and/or photography have appeared in print and online media such as Prevue, California Meetings + Events, Incentive, Greer’s OC, Examiner.com, Riverside Press-Enterprise, CCM, and her personal blog, Ovations. In 2009 Carolyn founded the #LitChat hashtag used in Twitter for literary discussion and established the companion blog, LitChat.
