Carolyn Dupont is a historian of American Religion and of African Americans. She is the author of "Mississippi Praying: Southern White Evangelicals and the Civil Rights Movement, 1945-1975 (New York University Press, 2013). She is Associate Professor of History at Eastern Kentucky University and serves as Book Review Editor for the Journal of Southern Religion.
