Former White House speechwriter

Carter Wilkie was a speechwriter for President Bill Clinton and communications advisor to Boston Mayor Tom Menino and is co-author of Changing Places: Rebuilding Community in the Age of Sprawl. During the 1992 presidential campaign, he helped to map out Bill Clinton’s first bus trip, through rural Pennsylvania and small towns along the Ohio River Valley, in counties that swung heavily to Donald Trump in 2016. He is based in Boston.
