She has been a guest lecturer on the topic of American Culture in Medicine for the Colombian Association of Medical Schools [ASCOFAME] as well as medical schools throughout Central America and Venezuela. She received her Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California and works in a high volume inpatient hospital setting, advocating for patients and their families.
