Founding President of the Fecal Transplant Foundation

Catherine Duff is the founding president of the Fecal Transplant Foundation, a nonprofit organization working to provide education about Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT), advocate for patients and for the science of FMT, and raise awareness about this life-saving treatment. Catherine’s advocacy work enabled national policy that made FMT available to patients with C. diff infections that were not responsive to antibiotic therapies. She has served as an advisor to the NIH, CDC, and the Presidential Advisory Council Combating Antibiotic Resistance, among others, on the use of FMT as a novel non-antibiotic therapeutic to combat antibiotic resistance. Catherine is a retired rehabilitation counselor for patients with trauma and disabilities.
