Catherine Wald

I'm an Upper West Sider -- poet, author, teacher, music lover (especially opera), book nut, considering becoming an activist as of 11/16.

After a long career as a corporate writer, I'm enjoying the high spiritual value, flexible schedule and low financial remuneration of the poet's life. I teach poetry, memoir writing and literature at public libraries and other venues (including prison). To read my poetry, go to catherinewald.com or order "Distant, burned-out stars" (Finishing Line Press) from Amazon, where you can also find my nonfiction book "The Resilient Writer: Tales of Rejection and Triumph from 23 Top Authors" (Persea Books) and "Childish Things," my translation from the French of Valery Larbaud short stories (Sun and Moon).
