Former CEO, YWCA Metropolitan Chicago

Prior to becoming CEO of YWCA Metropolitan Chicago, Christine Bork served as the chief operating officer. In this role, her primary responsibilities were to marketing, development, and human resources. She was also responsible for leading projects to utilize technology to transform the organization’s decision making process and client service delivery.

Bork has worked in the nonprofit field for nearly twenty years. Her expertise is in transforming underperforming development operations, strategic planning, and board relations. In 2002, Bork joined the YWCA Metropolitan Chicago to oversee marketing and development, rising to chief operating officer in 2007. She has also had leadership positions with the American Red Cross, Fox River Chapter and Provena Mercy Center Hospital.

Bork is a certified fund raising executive and was an adjunct faculty member at the Axelson Center for Nonprofit Management, North Park University. Recently, she was appointed to the Economics Club of Chicago.

Bork earned a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science from the University of Chicago and a master’s degree in business administration from Benedictine University.
