Freelance Writer

Christy Macy has worked in the communications field for more than 40 years, in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. Currently a freelance writer, she served as the Publications Director and writer at the International Youth Foundation from 2000 to 2014. Before joining IYF, Ms. Macy was a White House speechwriter for First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton from 1998 to 1999. A published author who has traveled extensively around the world, Ms. Macy has written on a range of issues, including women’s rights, youth employment, and national security. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from George Washington University.
