Counter proliferation, British Embassy

Chris Wright works on weapons proliferation issues at the British Embassy in Washington, where he has been posted since September 2012. Chris has been working for the British Diplomatic Service for 10 years, during which time he served for a year in Iraq, spent four years in the Philippines and, most recently, had a short stint in the UK’s Delegation to the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe. He also spent a year in Cairo studying Arabic.

Before joining the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Chris worked for several years as a professional youth and community worker in London with a focus on helping young people not in education, employment or training. Chris has an MA in Biological Science from Oxford University.
