CJ is a sophomore at the University of Notre Dame. He grew up in Tianjin, China, where he attended local elementary school and was then homeschooled through high school. He studies Arabic, Peace Studies, and Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE). As a member of the Hesburgh-Yusko Scholars Program, he volunteered with Syrian refugees in northern Jordan during the summer of 2014. He loves cross-cultural and inter-religious dialogue along with playing badminton.
