Claire Lauterbach is a Programs Associate at Gender Action.

Gender Action is the only organization dedicated to promoting gender justice and women's rights in all International Financial Institution (IFI) investments such as those of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund – two of the largest public sources of development financing in the world. Through rigorous research and advocacy, Gender Action holds IFIs accountable to their pledges to increase women's economic empowerment opportunities and seeks to eliminate their human rights violations.

Claire Lauterbach is Programs Associate for Gender Action, where she manages work on Haiti and globally on sexual and reproductive health and HIV/AIDS, gender-based violence and food security. Ms. Lauterbach formerly worked for Human Rights Watch in Democratic Republic of the Congo and in the British House of Commons on African affairs. A French and US national, Ms. Lauterbach holds an MPhil degree in African Studies from the University of Leiden.
