LGBT Activist and Organizer with UNITE HERE
Cleve Jones, a world renowned LGBT activist, is the founder of the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt and co-founder of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Jones began his career as an activist in San Francisco in the 1970s as a protégé of the pioneering gay rights leader Harvey Milk. Today Jones works with UNITE HERE, a union of 270,000 hospitality workers across North America, building partnerships between labor and the LGBT movement.
