Dr. Colin Parris is General Manager for IBM’s Power Systems business within the IBM Systems & Technology Group.

During his nearly two-decade career at IBM, Dr. Parris has served in a number of executive technical, business and research positions, including: the Vice President and Business Line Executive, Power Systems; the Vice President of Technology in IBM’s corporate division and the Director of Network Architecture at the Prodigy Services Company.

Dr. Parris has acquired a number of patents in the areas of network management, multimedia systems, and mobile agents.

Dr. Parris has received multiple honors, awards and degrees, including: a Doctorate of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley; a Masters in the Science of Management from Stanford University, as a Sloan Fellow; a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Howard University.
