Constance Barone

Dr. Barone’s dream of being a doctor had it’s genesis from her long family history in medicine. Her uncle was an ENT surgeon and she came from a long line of Pharmacists. At a young age, when her mother taught her how to create and sew for her dance recital costumes she acquired a skill that would later become invaluable as a Plastic Surgeon. Dr. Barone’s love of Cosmetic Surgery began when she was performing facial reconstruction on children at Philadelphia’s renowned St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where she served as Chief of the Pediatric Burn Center and the Cleft Lip and Palate/ Craniofacial Program. While performing surgery, she was constantly asking herself, “How can we get a better cosmetic result?” What began in a pediatric ward in Philadelphia lead to a lifelong pursuit of helping people achieve their aesthetic goals. She completed her Plastic Surgery Residency at the prestigious New York University Hospital where she also trained at the renowned Manhattan Eye and Ear Hospital for Cosmetic Surgery. She was appointed the first woman to become Professor and Chief of the Plastic Surgery Program at the University of Texas San Antonio where she was honored with the teaching award. Presently, she has a state-of-the-art Cosmetic Surgery private practice in San Antonio. She offers a full service Cosmetic Medical Spa and and a technologically advanced certified Cosmetic Surgery Center. Dr. Barone also has done extensive volunteering of her surgical services for the less fortunate. Throughout her career, she’s devoted countless hours correcting cleft lip, palate and craniofacial deformities in children in underserved communities. Home in Texas, Dr. Barone is a sought-after expert and voice in the medical field. With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Barone has garnered countless honors and awards. In the last two years alone she was named a Texas Super Doctor, put on the Best Plastic Surgeons in America list, lauded as one of America’s Top Surgeons, named in the Top 5% of America’s Most Honored Professionals, awarded Best Doctor by Scene in San Antonio and America’s Top Doctor by Castle Connolly.
