Daina Middleton

Global CEO, Performics

A digital marketing pioneer and marketing professional with more than 20 years in the industry, Daina Middleton is the global CEO of Performics, the performance marketing division of Publicis Groupe. Daina is known for creating a new marketing lexicon including “participant marketing” – and is writing a book about this topic, to be published by Wiley in January 2013.

Prior to joining Performics, Daina served for two years at Publicis Groupe’s Moxie Interactive as senior vice president of its Sunao group. Daina spent 16 years working at Hewlett-Packard in key marketing communications positions across most of the core segments in the company’s businesses. At the time of her departure she was the director of advertising for HP’s $28 billion global Imaging and Printing Group.

Daina is a regular industry speaker with appearances including ad:tech, WOMMA, VideoNuze and iMedia, and was named one of Mobile Marketer’s 2011 Mobile Women to Watch. She is a current board member for Healthwise, a Boise-based company health content developer who provides accurate, up-to-date, health content and patient education and information for companies like WebMD. Daina has a Bachelor of Science in technical journalism from Oregon State University and lives on a horse ranch in Idaho where she raises Andalusian horses.
