Outreach case manager and social worker, Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE)

Damien Wade is the Outreach Case Manager/Social Worker at Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE), the country’s largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBT older adults. In his role at SAGE, Damien supports LGBT older adults from the outer boroughs in obtaining and accessing the resources and services that will most benefit them. Damien also collaborates and consults with constituents and staff from SAGE affiliates and satellite locations.
Damien has an extensive case management history with various populations. He has worked in the areas of foster care, housing, and mental health, and has conducted therapy as an intern at Callen Lorde. Damien also worked for three years as a guidance counselor for the NYC Department of Education. Damien holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from CUNY Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work.
Damien is a native Brooklynite, and lives there with his partner of six years. The couple currently has two cats and refers to them as their children.
