Damon Cory-Watson

Researcher, writer, educator, environmentalist, sometimes a musician

Damon Cory-Watson is a research analyst at a research consulting firm and a writer for Wellnesswarrior.org. He has over 10 years of professional experience promoting and advocating for environmental awareness and sustainability. As an educator in Washington, DC, he created multi-age fitness, health and environmental curricula, managed an outdoor education program and led trips for the city’s traditionally underserved populations to educate students, colleagues and parents about the importance of ecology, conservation and staying connected to natural systems. He is also a graduate of the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University, where he earned his Master of Environmental Management, his Certificate of Sustainable Systems Analysis and significant experience in qualitative analysis, food systems, data management and agroecology. He has dabbled in farm work, music and martial arts. He draws much of his inspiration from his work at Quaker summer camps, his large family, and his amazingly supportive and loving wife. Damon received his B.A. in Philosophy from Haverford College in 2004.
