Dan Griffin is currently the Director of Community Engagement at the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. With a professional background in government and politics, Dan most recently served as an Assistant to Secretary of Education Arne Duncan at the Department of Education in Washington, DC. Prior to that he worked at the White House as Deputy Director of Administration in the Office of Vice President Joe Biden.

A quadriplegic and wheelchair user, Dan has lived with a spinal cord injury since a car accident in 2005. He remains active and passionate about civic engagement opportunities, physical fitness and personal health, education issues, and empowering under-represented and under-served populations.
